Another from the USC area.

He was waiting for the bus outside the USC campus.

This guy was running full speed down the street...in khakis and a polo shirt. I didn't even see anyone chasing him...

...Waiting for the bus...possibly on his way to buy shoelaces.

I had already chosen my person to sketch for today, but saw this guy at the last minute and decided to switch. That happens pretty often. I think I drew him a lot cleaner than he really looked, he was a lot more scruffy in person.

Here's the rough sketch I did first.

The impression I got out of the corner of my eye was that he was playing a gameboy. So that's what I drew him doing.

She was standing in a group of about 5 well-dressed executive types.
on a really dumpy street corner. I'm not sure why they were there, unless they were some committee planning to redevelop the area. When I passed by they were all laughing pretty hard.

These two were waiting at a light. I think the girl was rubbing her eyes because of the bright sunlight, not because she was crying.

I'm playing catch-up with these posts now, but still trying to get one a day. Eventually I'll get them all up.
This guy was walking to class at SC. It wasn't cold or raining, but apparently he was practicing for the next downpour.
I went ahead and pulled out my watercolors for this. It's been a while for me. The other full color drawings have involved photoshop, but I went with the real stuff on this one.

This lady is from the same day. She was about a block away running (actually wobbling) and waving for the bus.

And, yes, I spotted Santa Claus doing some recon in South Central on friday. He was in plain clothes, but I wasn't fooled.

...And a special bonus for today...

a sketch of my youngest boy.
